Job Summary Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Sign on Bonus: Up to $20,000 SOB based on eligibility. Responsibilities Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Assessment – An RN uses a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze data about a patient, the first step in delivering nursing care. Includes physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Initial assessment Re‑assessment Focused assessment based on patient condition, setting, and population. Problem Identification – The nurse’s clinical judgment about the patient’s response to actual or potential health conditions or needs. Planning and Outcomes – Sets measurable and achievable short‑ and long‑range goals in collaboration with patient and family. Data, goals written in care plan. Establishing daily goals with patient and family Formulating a plan of care Transition or discharge planning Implementation – Implements nursing care according to the plan, ensuring continuity during hospitalization and preparation for discharge. Documentation in record. Ensures patient safety Medication administration Provision of ordered treatments Patient/Family education Provision of nursing care – Documentation in healthcare record. Evaluation – Continuously evaluate patient status and effectiveness of care, modify plan as needed. Delegation Supervision Prioritization Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Continuing education requirements as defined within the CARE program. Experience: One (1) year as an RN. Licensure/Certifications: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona licensed in 30 days. Basic Life Support (BLS). American Heart Association and others as required by individual department as noted in Attachment A. Preferred Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Licensure/Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by individual department.
