Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide quality care to adult patients with post-surgical needs, including conditions such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity. This position may require floating between units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide post-surgical care.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the medical team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes.
• Document patient care and progress in the EMR system (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and active RN license in New York.
• 2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Experience with travel nursing is required.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• NURSYS report for license verification.
