Hiring part-time kitchen prep assistant in San Mateo/ Se busca asistente de cocina (Part-Time)
A local boutique food business crafting artisanal strained yogurt, is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented part-time Kitchen Assistant to help with cold-assembly prep, portioning, and packaging in our San Mateo commercial kitchen. The Role:
Measuring and portioning bases, purees, and toppings using digital scales (grams)
- Comfortable using a digital kitchen scale for accurate measurements
-Conversational English to follow recipe directions and verbal instructions (does not need to be perfect—just functional kitchen communication)
-Valid California Food Handler card (or willingness to get one before starting)
-Ability to stand during shifts and lift up to 40–50 lbs safely
-Commercial kitchen or food prep experience is a plus, but happy to train someone with great attention to detail and punctuality Details:
Pay: $20–$23/hour (determined after working interview)
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 1-5 pm (OK if not able to do all days)
