Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities. Responsibilities Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools. Use the work order management system to receive repair orders, support store associates, and document repair activities. Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely. Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart safety policies and environmental guidelines. Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls. Lift up to 75 lbs, use ladders, and work at heights frequently. Qualifications 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance. Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling. Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR. 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience. 8 years of HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience and an AAS in A/C and refrigeration (preferred). Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or an associate’s of applied science in A/C and refrigeration (preferred). Excellent driving record (preferred). Prior work experience with glycol and CO2 systems (preferred). Benefits & Compensation Competitive pay range of $26.00 – $51.00 per hour (actual rate may exceed the minimum based on experience).
