Quality Assurance Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to support software quality initiatives for a leading technology-focused organization. The Quality Assurance Analyst role is ideal for an experienced testing professional with a strong background in software testing methodologies, defect management, and Agile development environments. Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Analyst Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution using test management and defect tracking tools. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle. Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing activities. Analyze test results and provide detailed reporting on quality metrics and project risks. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Continuously improve QA processes, methodologies, and testing best practices. Qualifications of the Quality Assurance Analyst Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered. 6+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or related software testing role. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and quality assurance processes. Experience with test case design, test execution, defect reporting, and test management tools such as JIRA. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Compensation for the Quality Assurance Analyst includes Salary range: $100,000 - $125,000 depending on experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO Hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite per week in Durham, NC This job opens for applications on 07/17/2026.
