Role: Quality Control Associate I Location: Norwood, MA (100% On-Site) Job Type: 6-Month Contract Pay Rate: Up to $38.00 / hour (commensurate with experience) Target Start Date: September 7, 2026 Education Requirements: BA/BS in a STEM field Experience Level: 0-2 years in a GMP Quality Control laboratory setting What You'll Be Doing: As a QC Associate I, you will play a vital, hands‑on role in supporting molecular and cell biology testing for raw materials, drug substances, and drug products. Perform routine bioassay and analytical testing, including Cell-Based Potency, qPCR, sequencing, and electrophoresis. Support raw material testing and maintain general laboratory readiness. Prepare essential reagents, keep equipment calibrated and clean, and manage lab supplies/inventories. Write, revise, and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols. Support data management by scanning, logging, and uploading accurate laboratory records. Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives and participate in internal/external audits. Foster a safe, clean, and engaging working environment alongside a supportive cross‑functional team. What We're Looking For: Education: BA/BS degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related STEM field. Experience: 0 to 2 years of hands‑on experience in a GMP QC environment focusing on molecular biology or bioassays. Technical Skills: Experience with mammalian cell culture, PCR/qPCR, gel electrophoresis, aseptic technique, and operating standard lab equipment (e.g., pH meters, balances, BSCs). Software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic lab systems (LIMS, SAP, or eQMS) is a strong plus. Soft Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organization, a natural curiosity for troubleshooting, and a team‑first mindset.
