Job Type: Full-time, field-based
Our client, a leading provider of industrial pumps, fluid-handling equipment, and engineered process solutions, is seeking an experienced Technical Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow its Windsor–London territory.
This field-based role combines new business development, territory management, and technical solution selling. The ideal candidate has experience selling pumps, rotating equipment, or related industrial products and enjoys developing new accounts, solving customer challenges, and building long-term relationships.
Compensation
• $80,000–$100,000+ base salary, highly negotiable based on experience
• Uncapped commission
• Performance-based bonus opportunities
• Strong overall earning potential
Responsibilities
• Develop new business while managing and expanding existing customer accounts throughout the territory
• Prospect through cold calling, networking, referrals, field visits, and relationship development
• Build relationships with manufacturing plants, municipalities, OEMs, engineering firms, contractors, and industrial facilities
• Evaluate customer applications and recommend industrial pumps, fluid-handling equipment, and engineered process solutions
• Conduct on-site customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations
• Prepare quotes, pricing, proposals, and technical equipment recommendations
• Manage opportunities throughout the complete sales cycle, from initial prospecting through close
• Partner with internal teams to provide technical support and exceptional customer service
• Identify opportunities for account growth and long-term partnership development
• Stay current on industry trends, products, applications, and competitive solutions
• Consistently achieve or exceed territory sales and business-development goals
• Independently manage sales activity, scheduling, and customer relationships across the Windsor–London territory
Qualifications
• Outside sales experience with industrial pumps, fluid-handling equipment, rotating equipment, process equipment, valves, mechanical seals, or similar engineered products
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand applications and recommend technical solutions
• Experience selling to manufacturing plants, municipalities, OEMs, engineering firms, contractors, or industrial facilities
• Proven success developing new business through prospecting, cold calling, and relationship building
• Strong consultative and technical selling skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to prepare and present technical equipment recommendations and proposals
• Self-motivated and capable of independently managing a field-based sales territory
• Strong commitment to developing long-term customer relationships and delivering value-based solutions
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory
