Emergency Department Registered Nurse
This position involves 12-hour day shifts, with options of either 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in accordance with state standards. The nurse must communicate effectively with all healthcare team members to develop comprehensive patient care plans while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-family centered care in the Emergency Department.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the mission and values of the organization.
- Respond rapidly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine or pending Authorization to Practice by endorsement.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within six months of hire date.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
- Excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills.
- Able to function independently and efficiently in emergency situations.
