Application Instructions Complete our online application to be considered for an open job role at our Camanche location. Position Description Technical Skills 1. Operates yard forklifts 2. Performs daily forklift check list. 3. Knowledge of structural steel sizes and shapes 4. Unloads trucks and places steel in correct location 5. Supply production departments with materials per pick list 6. Keep yard in neat and organized condition 7. Correctly completes all required inventory paperwork 8. Maintains well organized and neat yard 9. Trouble shoots overage/shortage with purchasing 10. Assists in loading oversized steel onto trucks 11. Unloads steel 12. Good knowledge of Receiving and Inventory procedures used for steel 13. Good working knowledge of all equipment used in steel yard department 14. Knows how to complete required paperwork for production, receiving, inventory and quality reasons 15. Efficiently supports daily shop schedules and meets productivity requirements 16. Organizes and prioritizes work to correct individuals as required 17. Keeps flow of raw material into production departments to prevent delays in production 18. Effectively monitors overall workflow within department and takes effective corrective action to prevent or minimize disruptions to the workflow 19. Can effectively operate large forklift trucks used in steel yard 20. Maintains accurate inventory count and placement in steel yard 21. Has knowledge of sizes and shapes of structural steel 22. Maintains a well-organized steel yard 23. Accurately receives incoming materials 24. Ability to unload trucks in a safe and effective manner Quality and Safety Skills

- Conducts monthly toolbox safety meetings with employees.
- Ensures employees within the area of responsibility follow quality policies and procedures.
- Knows and enforces Quality Control requirements for plate inspection.
- Knows and enforces Quality Control requirements for saws and beams.
- Maintains a strong safety record with minimal recordable accidents in the area of responsibility.
- Ensure employees work safely and follow all safety rules.
- Requires and enforces good housekeeping in the area of responsibility.
- Require all employees to always wear required PPE and set an example by personally wearing all required PPE .
- Use good organizational skills.

- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 100 degrees.
- Must not be allergic to paints and chemicals used in the department.
- Ability to work in an environment with paint and thinner fumes.
- Ability to work in an environment with some welding fumes.
