Regular Full Time Miami, FL, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 2720 The Repair Operator is responsible for basic repairs of guitar issues from consumers. The role is a blend of craftsmanship, quality, and customer service and focuses on industry standards for repair and quality. A successful repair operator completes a quality repair in the expected time and provides thoughtful service to the consumer. The repair operator position is the entry level role for the team, but performance in this role is key for the team’s overall success. In this role the operator will learn how to repair increasingly more difficult jobs with the objective of progression into the role of Repair Technician. Essential Functions Perform restrings and setups (Electric and Acoustic) Make and install new nuts Light electronic repairs Level and dress frets Package and ship guitars as needed Track time and material usages Interface with R&R online tracking system Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Bilingual: English/Spanish (preferred but not required) Ability to improve upon repair quality and speed to industry standards Excellent written and oral communication skills Solutions oriented approach to challenges/issues Outstanding time management skill set with the ability to prioritize without direct supervision Outstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritize Required Education and Experience Must have guitar playing experience General knowledge of guitar components Experience with repairing stringed instruments Experience as a guitar repair operator preferred Paint and lacquer experience a plus Direct consumer experience a plus (some interaction may be needed) Excellent written and oral communication skills. Physical Demands Typical retail and warehouse-adjacent environment. Must be able to have a flexible schedule and work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
