Deployment Project Manager -Operations & Controls

The Controls Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the deployment of building and electrical monitoring systems (BMS, DCIM, EPMS) across data center construction projects. This role ensures systems are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with design specifications, while coordinating across vendors, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders.What You Will Do:Manage scope, schedule, and execution of BMS, DCIM, and EPMS vendors during data center constructionDevelop detailed scopes of work for controls and site improvement projectsCoordinate across multiple stakeholders to align deliverables, requirements, and timelinesLead project meetings, provide status updates, and report progress to Operations Systems and Construction leadershipOperate effectively within tight project timelines and fast-paced environmentsWhat We Are Looking For: Required Project & Vendor ManagementManage scope, schedule, and execution of BMS, DCIM, and EPMS vendors during data center constructionDevelop detailed scopes of work for controls and site improvement projectsCoordinate across multiple stakeholders to align deliverables, requirements, and timelinesLead project meetings, provide status updates, and report progress to Operations Systems and Construction leadershipOperate effectively within tight project timelines and fast-paced environmentsTechnical OversightThe Controls Project Manager oversees the rollout of BMS, DCIM, and EPMS systems for new data center builds, managing projects from design through commissioning. They handle budgeting, vendor onboarding, and coordination with internal and external partners to ensure on-time delivery, alignment with design, and full system functionality within the construction schedule.Procurement & Financial ManagementSupport procurement activities including RFP development, RFIs, vendor evaluations, and purchase order issuanceManage financial aspects of controls construction contracts, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelinesCommissioning & Field SupportSupport and oversee controls-related commissioning activitiesConduct regular site visits to active construction projects to verify installation quality and vendor complianceEnsure all work meets design requirements and applicable codes (e.g., NEC)Minimum Qualifications2+ years of experience in controls or electrical construction project managementBachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or other related engineering degrees preferred.5+ years of experience working with controls systems in critical environments (e.g., data centers, manufacturing, oil & gas, power)Strong understanding of:Industrial controls systemsEngineering documentation and electrical diagramsStandard operating proceduresProven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, and competing prioritiesExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools#LI-CK1#LI-Hybrid Work environment:Fast paced environmentTravel requiredCyrusOne is an equal opportunity employer.
