THE DAY PRIOR TO THE END DATE LISTED ON THIS JOB POSTING\*\*\* The North Carolina Department of Revenue is recruiting for a DSO Specialist II in our Financial Services Division. The primary responsibility of this position is to administer the setoff of Individual Income Tax Refunds according to Chapter 105A Setoff Debt Collection Act. Also, to be lead liaison between the IRS and NC Department of Revenue (DOR) concerning the offset of tax refunds to the IRS according to the Federal Offset Program.**Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences*** Exceptional telephone skills* Word and excel experience required* Thorough understanding of Data Capture, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Online Filing and Payments system (OFP), DocQuery, MeF Individual Income Viewer, Suspense and ITAS including the different conversations within* Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Setoff Debt Collection Act, Chapter 105A-1 through 105A-16 and G.S. 105-259 Secrecy ActsRecruitment Range: $41,206 to $56,660***Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.
