Senior Property Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking to identify a strong Property Accountant. The role is ideal for accountants looking to deepen their experience in property accounting while gaining exposure to increased responsibility, process improvement, and long-term career growth within the accounting function.

This position supports day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, financial reporting, and collaboration with property management teams. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
• Accrue expenses and ensure accurate account coding
• Analyze financial data and prepare supporting schedules and reports
• Develop spreadsheet reports to analyze and verify financial information
• Communicate financial information with property management and department leaders
• Review, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies in financial records
• Support month-end close and ensure all deadlines are met
• Evaluate existing accounting processes and recommend improvements as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold internal controls, including identifying potential risks or irregularities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 2+ years of accounting experience; property or real estate exposure is a plus
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting systems
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
