Recruitment Incentive Applicants may be eligible for a $40,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements. The team balances investigative missions and protective legacy, serving the nation with honor, distinction and pride. Special agents carry out assignments in investigations and protection, and may be assigned to multiple duty stations throughout the U.S. and abroad. Duties Provide protection for various protectees. Conduct criminal investigations pertaining to the financial obligations of the United States. Plan and implement security designs for National Special Security Events. Requirements U.S. citizenship is required. Must possess a current valid driver's license. Must carry and use a firearm; maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory. Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral (exceptions may apply for those with current or prior federal law enforcement service and special retirement provisions). Must obtain and retain a Top Secret Clearance for the duration of the career. Must have uncorrected visual acuity no worse than 20/100 binocular, and corrected visual acuity 20/20 or better in each eye. Hearing loss, as measured by audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear at 500, 1000 and 2000Hz ranges. Must submit to a pre-appointment drug test and to random drug testing while occupying the position. Must complete 13 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA and 18 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD. Must sign a mobility agreement accepting assignments anywhere within the United States and overseas.
