Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Neptune, NJ 07754
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Flex | 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
Schedule: 3×12 Hours | 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed | On-Call After 90 Days

Pay Rate:
Local: $62–$67/hr
Traveler: $66–$71/hr

Required Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey RN License or valid multi-state Compact RN License

• AHA BLS certification

• ASN required; BSN preferred

• Level I Trauma experience required

• Experience with endovascular, spine, neuro, orthopedic, and orthopedic trauma procedures

• Strong clinical and analytical skills

• Ability to provide professional perioperative nursing care

• Strong communication skills

• Epic Test Out required

• Scrub experience preferred

• Ability to float to the ASC as needed

• English proficiency required

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures

• Assess patient needs and develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans

• Provide professional nursing services throughout the perioperative process

• Maintain accurate patient documentation

• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams

• Assign and evaluate work of non-nursing direct care staff

• Provide care for endovascular, spine, neuro, orthopedic, and orthopedic trauma procedures

• Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and regulatory requirements

• Float to like units and ASC as required

• Participate in on-call coverage after 90 days

• Work every other weekend and holidays as required
