Key Opportunity Highlights: Group of 9 Cardiac Intensivists supporting a 14-bed CVICU and growing Heart Center that encompasses 450-500 surgical cases annually, 500 cardiac catheterizations, 220 EP studies performed annually and expanding heart failure and cardiac transplant programs. New $1 billion West Tower expansion featuring 760,000 square feet of clinical space, including 143 NICU beds, 56 PICU beds, and technically advanced operating rooms for specialized programs in orthopedic spine surgery, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, and robotics. Opportunities for leadership in the PC National Quality Improvement Collaborative and across programmatic subspecialty programs, including, but not limited to, Heart Failure and Transplantation. Opportunity for an academic faculty appointment with the Texas Christian University Burnett School of Medicine and participation in established clinical research with the support of an established IRB, grant writing office, research nursing, and dedicated PhD statisticians. Preferred Qualifications: Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Intensive Care 3-5 years of CVICU experience ideal but not required. Board Certification in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Medicine. Demonstrated expertise and knowledge across the full spectrum of pediatric cardiac critical care, including ventilator management, central and arterial line placement, ECMO, management of neonates with congenital heart disease before and after surgery, postoperative care of adult congenital heart disease patients, and postoperative management of cardiac transplant patients.
