Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a night shift position. This role is based in a Level I Trauma Center and requires a dedicated professional to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize a team nursing model to deliver patient care, effectively managing a workload ratio of 1:12, which translates to approximately 1:6/7 when caseload is split between RNs, LPN, and Med Nurse.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to hospital policies and protocols to ensure safety and quality of care.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant nursing experience is required.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma setting is mandatory.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Experience working in a large hospital environment is essential.
• First-time travelers will not be considered unless they possess 5+ years of experience in the specialty.

Schedule Information:

• Shift: Full-time, 4x12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:00).
• Weekend requirements: As needed.
• Block scheduling is not available, but weekend block may be considered on a case-by-case basis during the interview.

Additional Information:

• Local candidates are not accepted; there is a strict 100-mile radius rule.
• All travelers must hold a valid nursing license in compliance with NLC guidelines.
• Requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application; late RTO submissions will not be considered.
