Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC

Overview Walmart is looking for a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair operations within Walmart retail facilities. The role requires commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, and the use of hand, digital, and power tools to complete repair jobs. Responsibilities Maintain and repair the Walmart facility's refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Use the work order management system to receive and document repair work orders supporting stores and store associates. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls. Inspect, operate, or test facility equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA regulations, and Walmart’s HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines. Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights. Qualifications 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance. Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience. Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling. Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program. Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located. Compensation Hourly wage range: $23.00–$45.00. The actual rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Eligible for bonus incentives.
