Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM, AWHONN Description: Unit highlights: This position is for an RN in the Labor and Delivery unit. The unit consists of 12 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. There is 1 unit tech available on each shift and 1 unit secretary during the day shift. The documentation system used in the unit is Meditech. Floating may be required as needed. Must have: Candidates must possess 2+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery. Active TX RN License is required; temporary licenses will not be accepted. All candidates must have current ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM, and AWHONN certifications. Preferred skills: Experience with Meditech is preferred. Procedures performed in the unit include circulating C-sections. Dress code guidelines: Scrubs will be provided by the facility. Nails must be clean and healthy. Hair should be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors. Facial hair should be clean and neatly trimmed. Tattoos should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited. Other guidelines: Attendance policies must be adhered to. Floating guidelines may apply as per the unit's needs.
