Registered Nurse RN Wound Treatment Center

Registered NurseThe registered nurse will perform direct patient/resident care and delegation to patient care technicians in providing care and comfort to the residents. Knowledge and compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines relating to facility care will be maintained. This position has basic medical/surgical knowledge in order to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients.(30%)* Regularly assesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.(30%)* Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.(20%)* Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.(10%)* Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician ordered care accurately, completely and in a timely manner.(10%)* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.Credential: RN: Registered NurseRequired Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing is required. Equivalent Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.Other duties and responsibilities include demonstrating the ability to interpret information and report pertinent data to the physician, assessing learning needs, providing education to meet individual needs, coordinating care provided by patient care technicians, remaining calm and efficient in stressful situations, documenting in an accurate and clear way, participating in regulatory surveys, and remaining current on new developments by reading professional journals and attending seminars.
