Locum Physician – Cardiology Opportunity

Rate: $300–$350/hour

Additional Compensation:

• 24-Hour Call: $4,263.75 per day
• Night Call: $634.83 per shift
• Call Back: $554.29 per hour
• 2 Hours Gratis

Assignment Overview:

Seeking a flexible Cardiology physician for a locum assignment requiring 1–2 weeks of coverage per month. Candidates must be willing to work varying weeks based on scheduling needs.

Schedule:

• One week of call: Monday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
• One week of clinic: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Coverage includes a combination of scheduled clinic responsibilities and on-call duties.
• Block scheduling is not available.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Hospital consultations
• Hospital call coverage
• Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Echocardiograms
• Nuclear testing
• Outpatient clinic visits

Practice Details:

• Approximately 20 hospital patients per day
• Approximately 18 clinic patients per day
• Support provided by medical assistants in the clinic setting
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• Hospital size: 74 beds

Coverage Needs:

• Seeking coverage equivalent to:
• Two physicians covering two weeks each per month, or
• One full-time physician able to fulfill the entire monthly schedule.

Requirements:

• Board Eligible in Cardiology (Required)
• Active Pennsylvania License or IMLC Letter of Qualification in hand (Required)
• Active DEA Registration (Required)

Credentialing:

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: Approximately 120 days
• Temporary privileges may be available for candidates with a clean file.
