Travel RN – ICU Nurse Lead | San Luis Obispo, CA | 3x12 Days | No Call | Travel Contract | Competitive Pay

We're hiring an experienced ICU RN Nurse Lead/Charge Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in San Luis Obispo. This position combines hands-on critical-care nursing with unit leadership responsibilities and is best suited for an ICU nurse who has already demonstrated strong charge or supervisory experience.

Schedule

• 3x12 Day Shifts

• 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

• 36 hours/week

• Schedule based on department needs

• No call required

What You'll Do

• Provide high-acuity ICU nursing care while serving as a clinical leader.

• Supervise and direct nursing and ancillary personnel during assigned shifts.

• Assist with staffing, patient assignments and unit workflow.

• Support quality, patient-safety and performance-improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing leadership and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Active California RN license.

• Strong recent ICU experience.

• Previous Charge Nurse/supervisory experience required for this leadership assignment.

• BLS and ACLS required.

• TNCC required due to the trauma environment.

• Comfortable balancing bedside clinical responsibilities with administrative/leadership duties.
