Job Description

Self Serve Lumber has been in the lumber industry since 1953 and is now in its fourth generation of being a family run business. We are the convenient, local alternative to the big box home stores, open seven days a week with our convenient drive-thru lumber yard. With over 18 stores across Michigan, we are always looking for great talent to help expand our team.

Location: Saginaw, MI

Pay: $14.00/per hour

Shift: Day Shift

Job description:

The Warehouse Stock Clerk is responsible for picking and selecting the correct products and items for delivery from the warehouse to our stores. They will pack materials for safe shipping, by utilizing the best method to avoid stock damage during transit. The stocker is also responsible for processing store returns and ensuring that they are processed in a timely manner and fashion.

Responsibilities:

Fill orders for stocking the stores merchandise
Pack material for safe shipping utilizing the best methods to avoid stock damage
Perform housekeeping tasks as required
Receive stock shipments in a timely manner
Participate in the completion of annual physical inventory counts
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Complete all indicator reports, scorecards, coaching and training
Excellent communication skills
Familiarity with retail stores and similar procedures
Good organizational and quality control

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Ability to lift upwards of 10lbs constantly and/or 20lbs frequently
Mostly Indoor Receiving; can be in inclement weather at times
Repetitive motion constantly including, stooping, reaching, lifting and walking
