Company: Entergy Job Title: Plant Supervisor Work Place Flexibility: Onsite Legal Entity: Entergy Mississippi, LLC JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: Provides management and supervision related to direct report oversight, guidance, and training in all aspects of daily Plant Operations to meet the requirements of load dispatch to the Energy Management Organization. Ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of utility power boilers, turbine/generators, and auxiliary equipment ensuring adherence to all unit/equipment operating parameters and start-up and shut down procedures/practices. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs Human Resource Management of direct reports, which includes compliance with established policies, practices, and procedures as well as performance management of direct reports Aligns employee actions with corporate, business unit, and department objectives to promote continuous employee learning, and development while maintaining compliance Provides direct management to the current Entergy Safety Process. Ensures compliance with Corporate Safety standards and approved practices for the protection of all personnel. Ensures the safe isolation/lock-out and restoration of site equipment Provides continuous monitoring of boilers, turbine/generators, and auxiliary equipment ensuring the safe and reliable operation of plant equipment Manages and supports Entergy's core processes, and initiatives which include: Plant Operations Excellence, Commercial Commitment to Excellence, NERC Standard Compliance, Unit Reliability, Surveillance Testing, Operations Transactions Systems, Utility Group Safety Process, Operations Information Systems, Operator Skills Development Process, Environmental Compliance, and the Automated Tagging System Assumes a project management role in designated situations MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience Three (3) years of Plant Operations/Power Boiler Experience and demonstrated supervisory leadership qualities 8-10 years of Plant Operations/Power Boiler Experience, 3-5 years of this period as a control board operator; supercritical experience for supercritical units Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have an in-depth knowledge of power plant systems, unit operating practices; these attributes must be at an Operating Technician Proficiency Must be knowledgeable in unit cycle chemistry, its requirements, and corrective actions None Primary Location: Mississippi - GreenvilleMississippi : Greenville Job Function : Corporate FLSA Status : Professional Relocation Option: No Relocation Offered Union description/code : NON BARGAINING UNIT-NBU Number of Openings : 1 Req ID : 123383 Travel Percentage : Up to 25% An Equal Opportunity Employer, Minority/Female/Disability/Vets.
