Director, Federal Cyber Security Architect

Salary: $66,000 - 106,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for at least eight years of cyber security engineering or solutions architecture experience; experience with U.S. Federal government consulting is preferred.
• We require a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
• We prefer certifications such as CISSP, with additional relevant credentials like CCSP, AWS Certified Security, or Azure Security Engineer also valued.
• We need experience working in federal, DoD, or similarly regulated environments, along with a solid grasp of compliance frameworks such as NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP.
• We expect experience planning and delivering secure cloud migrations, as well as managing native cloud security controls.
• We value experience and knowledge of SIEM and SOAR platforms such as Splunk, Sentinel, or Cortex XSOAR.
• We seek a strong background in Identity and Access Management, including tools such as Okta, CyberArk, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• We require the ability to travel as needed to support client engagements.
• Applicants must hold a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

• We help design, engineer, and implement Zero Trust architectures across enterprise environments in line with CISA maturity models and federal requirements.
• We partner with senior architects to embed security controls into system design and assess emerging tools and technologies to strengthen defense in depth.
• We integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle, conduct application vulnerability reviews, and support secure application onboarding.
• We contribute to secure cloud migration efforts, ensuring on-premise systems and applications move safely to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• We implement and oversee identity solutions focused on ICAM, MFA, and least-privilege access models.
• We ensure security designs and implementations align with federal standards and frameworks including NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-207, RMF, and DoD Cloud Computing SRG.
• We develop and refine SIEM use cases and automate incident response processes using SOAR tools.
• We monitor enterprise environments for suspicious behavior, investigate security alerts, and support incident remediation.
