Job Description: As a Host(ess) at Backyard Desert Ridge, you will be responsible for providing our guests with best-in-class service, product, and entertainment. As a Host(ess) , you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing them with a warm welcome and ensuring a smooth dining experience. The Host(ess) assists servers in enhancing the guest experience and anticipating any additional needs to help ensure each guest has a wonderful and unique visit at our venues. You will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive work environment for our team while upholding the highest standard of service that defines our brand(s).

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and positive attitude
• Manage seating arrangements and the waitlist to maximize seating capacity and minimize wait times
• Maintain an organized entrance area, ensuring it is inviting and presentable for guests
• Guide guests to their tables, present menus, and inform them of daily specials and promotions
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant's menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information
• Communicate effectively with guests and accurately estimate wait times, providing updates as needed
• Stay updated on current promotions, events, and offerings to provide accurate information to guests
• Adhere to uniform standards and maintain a well-groomed appearance, posture, and hygiene
• Communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and management in both written and verbal form
• Obtain and maintain any required licenses or active work cards
• Follow all Company and department policies and procedures, practices, and guidelines
• Flexibility to perform other duties and work shifts assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Have basic knowledge of reservation and seating systems
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
