Transportation Permit Specialist

Job Description :

• Review oversize and overweight permits for accuracy and completeness.
• Review permit routes and restrictions to ensure safe transportation throughout the state .
• Ensure permits comply with state and federal rules and regulations .
• Provide customer support to commercial carriers regarding permit status and updates.
• Analyze permit information and identify compliance or routing issues.
• Maintain accurate permit and customer records in transportation systems.
• Work with transportation and logistics teams to support freight movement and permit processing .
• Use permit management, routing, data, and GIS systems as required.

• Customer Service experience – Required
• Transportation / Logistics experience
• Motor Carrier Permit experience
• Oversize / Overweight Permit experience
• Freight movement and tracking
• Permit management / routing software
• Data and systems experience
• GIS tools experience
• Knowledge of transportation rules and regulations
• Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
