Multimedia Specialist - Part-Time

JOB SUMMARY

The Part-Time Multimedia Specialist supports the planning, production, and delivery of video, photography, and multimedia content for City meetings, public events, and City programming. This position provides audiovisual and live-streaming support for public meetings and creates content for broadcast, web, and social media platforms.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Responsibilities include operating video, audio, and live-streaming equipment for City Council, Planning Commission, and other public meetings; recording and preparing meeting footage for online archiving; troubleshooting audiovisual equipment; and capturing video and photography at City events, press conferences, and community programs. The Multimedia Specialist also edits meeting footage, City announcements, and event coverage; produces highlight reels, public service announcements, community updates, promotional videos, and short-form social media content; and works with City staff to ensure multimedia content aligns with City messaging and branding.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent Two years of experience in videography, video editing, multimedia production, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Valid driver's license or ability to readily obtain one Experience with videography, video production, and editing techniques Proficiency in Adobe video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro Familiarity with live-streaming platforms, audio equipment, and basic graphic design principles Strong visual storytelling, organizational, and communication skills Ability to lift, transport, set up, and operate camera, audio, and audiovisual equipment Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends Knowledge of government meeting procedures, ADA considerations, and closed captioning is preferred

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time position requiring a flexible schedule based on City meetings, events, and programming needs. Evening hours and occasional weekend work will be required.
