Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds - 13
• Number of Staff – 40
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – ( example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters) Minimum staffing is 1 Charge/ 2 RNs/ 1 CST
  • Night Shift – Minimum Staffing is 1 Charge/ 2 RNs/ 1 CST
• Patient Ratios – mostly 1:1 – AWHONN Guidelines adhered to
• Type of equipment – GE EFM
• EMR – CPN and Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum 1-year current acute care L&D RN experience
• BLS, ACLS and NRP
• Must be able to Circulate for C-Sections

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Prior Meditech experience
• Strong OB Triage skills

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):   

• Triage/ Evaluate OB patients; manage labor patients; oversee recovery of Vaginal and C-sections deliveries
• Manage IOL with Cervidil/ cytotec/ Pitocin
