HR Supervisor

Avfleet.ai runs an electric fleet for rideshare and last-mile delivery in San Francisco. This role leads HR for the site — a team of onboarding specialists and an administrator — and owns the things that have to be right: complaints handled properly, paperwork audit-ready,timecards processed on time, notices answered before the deadline. It’sthe job where problems come to you first. Done well, most of them stay small. Whatyou’lldo Handle what comes through the door.Take employee complaints and grievances seriously, document them properly,look intothem fairly, and elevate to Legal Counsel whenthat’sthe right call Disciplinary Process. Work with management to implement progressive discipline, improve compliance, and properly recorddisciplinaryevents to employee files Lead the team.Schedule, train, and develop three to four Onboarding Specialists and an HR Administrator. Their accuracy is your accuracy Keep training on schedule.Make sure requiredtrainings happenwhenthey’resupposed to and that the records prove it Audit the paperwork.Check employee files, I-9s, and timekeeping records against the standard on a regularcadence— and use what you find to coach the team rather than just fix the file Answer the notices.Direct your HR Administrator’s work on garnishment orders, unemployment noticesand other employee and government notices, and make sure they land on their deadlines Get payroll over the line.Oversee the follow-up that gets every department’stimecardssubmittedand approved in time for each payrollclose What you bring Two or more years in HR, including at least a year leading, coordinating, or training other people — or equivalent experience You’vehandled sensitive employee matters and kept them that way Working knowledge of California wage-and-hour and leave rules You can audit a file against a standard and spotwhat’smissing ComfortableinHRIS and timekeeping systems You can have a hard conversation without making it harder No degreerequired. No HR certificationrequired. Nice to have PHR, SHRM-CP, oraPHR You’verun or supported workplace investigations Payroll or timekeeping administration experience Experience with a shift-based hourly workforce, especially in transportation orlogistics Fluency in Spanish What it pays $75,000 per year.This is the good-faith salary wereasonably expectto pay for this position on hire. We also offer medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and California paid sick leave.
