As the Senior Director, Data Science and AI/ML, you will be responsible for building the Warehouse AI strategy for GXO and then design and deploy AI effectively across the GXO network of warehouses.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Builds the warehouse AI strategy, including Generative AI Language Model and business use cases. • Educates broadly across the company on how to build, manage and leverage warehouse AI. • Collates GXO’s existing use cases of AI for warehouse automation. • Partners with the regions to explore current usage and capabilities. • Documents GXO AI library for internal and external stakeholders. • Builds a global AI framework for warehouse automation. • Maintains up-to-date records of AI in warehouse automation. • Develops awareness of current AI service delivery models. • Identifies future AI use case opportunities for warehouse automation. • Partners with key leaders to explore viability of AI use cases. • Builds business cases to propose solutions to increase warehouse automation via AI usage. • Partners with the Automation Strategy team to define AI development, including translation of AI to P&L. • Builds business cases around AI in Automation, conducting financial modeling scenarios. • Partners with regional deployment managers to deploy warehouse AI solutions. • Provides ad-hoc support as required. • Partners with IT AI leaders to maximize use cases across the organization. • Builds governance frameworks around AI usage. • Develops capabilities across different teams on AI in warehouse automation.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience • 7 years of experience using or implementing AI in operations • Operational excellence training or background • Extensive strategic leadership experience in warehouse automation

It’d be great if you also have:

• 10+ years of AI experience within Operations • MBA or MS • Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and listening skills • Passion for innovation • Strong problem-solving skills
