Job Title: Shipfitter

Location: Houma, LA

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Shipfitter to fabricate, fit, and assemble structural components for marine vessels. Must be able to read blueprints and work safely in a shipyard environment.

Must-Have Qualifications

Shipfitting or structural fitting experience
Ability to read blueprints and drawings
Skilled with cutting, fitting, and measuring tools
Knowledge of steel fabrication
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights

Preferred Qualifications

Apprenticeship or formal training
Aluminum fabrication experience
Basic welding or tacking experience

Describe a difficult fitting job you’ve handled.
How do you work safely in confined spaces or at heights?
