Experience with robotic surgical systems. Ability to perform surgical assist duties alongside surgical tech responsibilities. Description: This position is for a surgical nurse working in a busy operating room environment. The facility is a designated trauma center that handles a variety of surgical cases. Nurses are expected to manage adult patients undergoing orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures. Common diagnoses include total joints, craniotomies, laminectomies, and robotic surgeries. Pediatric cases may include ENT procedures and emergent surgeries. The surgical nurse will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals. All team members are required to be proficient in their specialties. Support staff includes an educator and phlebotomists for blood draws. There will be opportunities for on-call duties during weeknights and weekends. This role includes a requirement to handle a certain volume of cases per day. Strong skills in electronic medical records are essential. The culture is supportive and encourages teamwork among travelers. A sleep room is available for staff during call shifts. This position requires quick and responsive patient care, often in high-pressure situations. Flexibility in scheduling is expected, including rotating weekend coverage.
