Job Summary The Admission Liaison is the “face” of SRAlab and its alliance partner within surrounding acute care hospitals, primarily in the Metro Detroit area. This role represents all levels of care and all locations throughout the SRAlab system of care, building productive professional relationships as the first impression for patients, families, and referral sources. The Liaison demonstrates the institution’s Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Core Attributes through excellence, teamwork, and compassion. Responsibilities Build productive professional relationships and sell SRAlab and alliance partner rehabilitation services to diverse audiences, including physicians, discharge planners, case managers, patients, and families. Support the admission process by assessing admission appropriateness and providing clinical information to SRAlab teams, while communicating directly with all parties. Execute market development tactics to identify and grow new business opportunities and volume within the assigned territory, demonstrating deep knowledge of rehabilitation market dynamics. Perform market competitive analysis and track healthcare operations, legal guidelines, and market trends. Serve as the primary contact for referral sources across targeted audiences, maintaining and expanding SRAlab presence in the region per annual plans. Schedule ongoing in‑services, professional presentations, and community group events to promote SRAlab services and patient outcomes. Determine medical appropriateness of patients, support the admission workflow, and transfer relevant information to inpatient or DayRehab® admitting teams. Educate families and patients on the benefits of SRAlab care, ensuring referrals convert to admissions. Address barriers to admissions, document them, and coordinate follow‑up with the Director of Rehabilitation Services and/or Market Development. Participate in budget development, sales training, and other SRAlab meetings; deliver regular and special reports based on collected data. Monitor customer service issues, support exhibit participation at clinical conferences, and maintain accurate referral databases in the contact management system. Referral and Relationship Development Meet or exceed assigned admission goals—annual, quarterly, and monthly—for rehabilitation services. Establish and maintain productive referral relationships with key referral and decision‑making contacts. Schedule and conduct in‑service presentations for referral sources, community groups, and other organizations. Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of the acute care and rehabilitation market, including competitors. Clinical Support to Referral Management Gather and transfer medical information to appropriate inpatient or DayRehab® teams. Meet with families and patients at referral sites to educate them about SRAlab benefits. Adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines and internal company policies. Document and respond to admission barriers in coordination with leadership. Administrative Responsibilities Assist in developing and executing regional budgets. Demonstrate competency in selling strategies and tactics to meet or exceed targets. Attend and contribute to sales training meetings and SRAlab meetings. Collect, analyze, and report data for assigned reports. Monitor customer service issues and support exhibit participation at clinical conferences. Reporting Relationships The Liaison reports directly to the Administrative Director, Corporate Partnership (Henry Ford Hospital). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech & Language Pathologist with current state license in Illinois or Michigan; BSN preferred for RN. 3–5 years of relevant clinical experience with strong assessment skills; rehabilitation experience or CRRN preferred for RN. Proven sales aptitude, exceeding sales expectations is strongly preferred. Comprehensive understanding of SRAlab programs and alliance partners. Exceptional communication, verbal and written, and polished presentation skills. Strong customer‑service skills with a proven track record. Technical competence with electronic communications, EMR, laptops, iPads, pagers, and cell phones. Self‑directed, highly organized, detail oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines. Valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and safe driving record. Working Conditions Normal office environment with minimal dust or extreme temperature.
