KC-46 Fleet Reliability Systems Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior)Company:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including KC-46 Fleet Reliability Systems Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior) to support the KC-46 System Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Team in Everett, Washington or Tukwila, Washington The successful candidate will provide senior reliability and maintainability engineering expertise with emphasis on Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) for the growing KC-46 fleet including both domestic and international customers. This is a unique opportunity to support the KC-46 program as a part of a highly engaged team with a broad set of responsibilities including, but not limited to: Parts Obsolescence, reliability and maintainability. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deeply analyze reliability, obsolescence, and sustainment data to identify opportunities to improve aircraft availability and effectiveness. The BGS KC-46 program is growing quickly - this is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of KC-46 sustainment.Position Responsibilities:Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutionsEvaluate customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfacesPerform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecturePerform analyses for reliability, maintainability, diagnostics, system health, testability, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission successDevelop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processesResolve cross-functional technical issuesEstablish DMSMS Programs: Develop and implement comprehensive DMSMS programs to proactively address potential material shortages and obsolescence issuesProactively research parts across program to seek out possible obsolescence issues and support mitigation for any potential obsolescence risks identifiedGather Engineering Data: Collect and analyze engineering data necessary for conducting thorough DMSMS analysesIdentify DMSMS Risks and Issues: Monitor and identify risks and issues related to DMSMS that may impact program performance and aircraft readinessEvaluate Impact: Assess the potential impact of identified DMSMS risks and issues on current and future operationsDevelop Recommendations and Roadmaps: Create actionable recommendations and strategic roadmaps for DMSMS resolution, ensuring alignment with program objectives and stakeholder requirementsWorks under general supervisionMay be asked to support other programs or perform other duties as neededBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement3+ years of experience with Systems Engineering Principles3+ years of experience with extracting and compiling data from multiple sources3+ years working with customers and suppliers 3+ years of experience analyzing data, performing trend analysis, and compiling reportsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)Active U.S. Security ClearanceExperience with organizational and team building skills performed in a cross-functional environmentExperience with computer programming and large database managementExperience with Government-Industry Exchange Program (GIDEP)Experience with Item Unique Identification (IUID)Experience with parts obsolescence management and mitigationExperience working on military contract required deliverablesExperience with project management or project engineeringExperience in a role that requires strong analytical and organization skillsExperience with Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etcAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels in dynamic, fast-paced environmentUnion:This is a union-represented position.
