Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate yard dog to move trailers and flatbeds within the yard.
• Communicate with team to ensure timely trailer movements.
• Inspect trailers for safety and readiness before moving or loading.
• Assist with loading and unloading precast concrete pieces using appropriate equipment, including rigging tools.
• Maintain accurate records of trailer movements and yard inventory.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies.
• Support general yard housekeeping and organization.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including consistently wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe operating procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding work progress and any issues.
• Understand that all injuries, even if minor, shall be reported to management/supervisor on shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
• You must adhere to FINFROCK safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• This is a full-time position that may vary outside the normal work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Depending on the area you work in, the shift may require working in the early morning or at night and sometimes overtime, or weekend shifts to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a yard dog or similar equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with precast concrete products and handling procedures is a plus.
• Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, or other heavy equipment.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to work as part of a team.
