Job Title: Certification and Lab Testing Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Certification and Lab Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves leading lab operations, ensuring products meet industry certifications, and coordinating with external agencies for product compliance. The position requires a blend of hands-on lab work and regulatory oversight, offering a critical and high-visibility role within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead lab testing operations to ensure compliance with UL and AHRI certifications.
• Coordinate testing submissions to external certification agencies.
• Manage and guide a team of 2–3 lab technicians.
• Conduct capacity testing, energy compliance evaluations, and safety validations.
• Oversee performance, safety, and energy testing processes.

Essential Skills

• Experience with UL and AHRI certifications.
• Lab testing experience, preferably in HVAC or refrigeration systems.
• Leadership experience managing small technical teams.
• Experience coordinating certification with external agencies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Exposure to QMS / ISO standards.
• Knowledge of HVAC or refrigeration systems.
• Experience with product testing and validation.
• Familiarity with government energy compliance regulations.

Work Environment

The position is fully onsite, with work divided equally between lab and office environments. The lab includes a calorimeter room with controlled temperature and humidity for standard environment testing. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Denver, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Benefits include health insurance, 401K, paid time off (PTO), and other company-sponsored programs. In addition to the base salary this position is eligible for an annual profit-sharing bonus.
