Assistant Floor Tech Supervisor -Part-TimePosition Summary: The Assistant Floor Tech Supervisor supports the Floor Tech Supervisor in overseeing daily floor care operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. This role combines hands-on expertise with leadership to guide floor tech staff, maintain equipment, and uphold facility standards.
? Key Responsibilities- Assist in supervising floor care staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
- Train new team members on the proper use of equipment and cleaning techniques
- Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment; report needs to the supervisor
- Perform floor maintenance tasks, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards
- Conduct quality checks and provide feedback to team members
- Support scheduling and shift coverage as needed
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, and facility management
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in custodial services preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in floor care or custodial services
- Familiarity with floor care equipment (buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and work on feet for extended periods
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper chemical handling
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence
- Team player who leads by example
- Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities
- Passionate about maintaining a clean, safe, and dignified environment
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have a good DMV record
