Seeking 2 Director/Choreographers plus 2 Vocal Directors for Youth Theater Program in Queens, NY
DESCRIPTION
Unity Stage Company is upping our game this 2026-2027 season by offering TWO Junior productions that will rehearse simultaneously on Sunday afternoons at our space in Jackson Heights. HONK Jr! for our younger kids in grades 2-6, and Mean Girls Jr for our kids in grades 5 thru 9. Our performers are enthusiastic, fun, and so talented as a group and individually. We're looking for gifted, proficient Theater Teaching Artists who love working with kids. You must be experienced as a Director/basic Choreographer (most of our kids are not pro dancers:) and be able to dig deeply with them in rehearsals while exercising time management during our two hour sessions. If you're applying as a Vocal Director we'll expect you to teach the songs and coach the kids to successful group & individual singing performances. (At this time we are expecting to use Performance Tracks during the shows May 1st and May 2nd.) Please submit a cover note sharing with what inspires you as a theater artist. Please provide two references who are happy to vouch for you as a caring, exciting Teaching Artist. Can't wait to meet you!DURATION
