Structural Designer

Virtual Vocations Inc

To support a growing design team, the full-time Structural Designer will prepare structural designs, perform engineering calculations, and collaborate with drafting and engineering teams in a fully remote capacity, while residing within a two-hour drive of Pottsville, PA for occasional facility visits. Key responsibilities Prepare structural layouts and detailed drawings for custom structural support systems Produce structural calculations and assist with engineering analysis for custom projects Develop connection details for welded, bolted, and anchored structural assemblies Required qualifications 5+ years of structural design experience, including structural steel applications Experience in performing structural calculations including ASCE 7 load calculations Structural connection design experience Strong background with 3D CAD and structural analysis software required
