This role involves providing competent nursing care in a hospital setting, specifically within Labor and Delivery. Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards
• Participate in identifying and meeting self-learning needs
• Assess the developmental level and readiness to learn of patients and families
• Identify expected patient outcomes and participate in care plan revisions
• Communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems
• Utilize healthcare standards, policies, and procedures in care delivery
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment for all
• Develop relationships with families to advocate for patient needs
• Collaborate with patients and families in planning care

Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• NRP
• One (1) year of nursing experience
• Ability to circulate for C-sections and triage for OB
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
