Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adults and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg/Telemetry unit
• Monitor patients on telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond per protocol
• Start and maintain peripheral IVs; manage IV therapy and basic line care
• Administer blood products and other medications per physician orders
• Deliver non-invasive airway support as needed (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, supplemental O2)
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code Team activities; follow isolation precautions and PPE guidelines
• Document care in Epic accurately and promptly; collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Unit Secretary
• Manage common acute conditions (e.g., COPD, pneumonia, chest pain evaluation, cellulitis, abdominal pain) and assist with chart review and care planning
• Float to related units as required and adhere to unit policies and patient-care standards

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand to submit
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (internal notes mention 1 year; this posting requires at least 2 years)
• Travel experience required; background checks reviewed case-by-case
• Certification: BLS; ACLS
• Epic charting experience (hard requirement)
• Ability to work in a Med/Surg with Telemetry setting and to float as needed
• Pre-approved time off consistent with policy; RTO restrictions apply (no more than 10 days)
