Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team in Jonesboro, AR (72401). Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (additional hours may be requested as needed). Job Responsibilities: Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas Accurately identify and label specimens Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities Meet department activity and production goals Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Resolve and document any problem specimens Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups (as needed) Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: 1 year or more lab specimen processing / accessioning experience 6 months or more phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment Current or prior LabCorp experience Additional Job Standards: Comfortable accurately identifying and handling biological specimens Strong data entry and organizational skills High level of attention to detail Able to pass a standardized color blind test Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime as needed Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical Dental Vision Life
