About Us:
Join our team at Main Street Terrace Care Center, a small, home-like facility with 50 beds where we prioritize teamwork to provide delicious food and exceptional care to our residents. We are currently seeking a Dietary Cook who shares our commitment to quality and community.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated Dietary Cook who can effectively prepare meals and contribute to a positive dining experience for our residents. If you have a passion for cooking and can work well in a collaborative environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary requirements for long-term care residents.
Ensure meals are prepared on time and served in an appealing manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure food quality and resident safety.
Assist with meal planning and inventory management.
Work collaboratively with the team to provide a pleasant dining experience for residents.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a long-term care or similar setting.
Ability to comprehend and execute recipes accurately.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Ability to follow directions and work independently as well as part of a team.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation.
