Performance of cleaning procedures that comply with stated corporate mission and strategic plan, corporate policies, and customer requirements.Primary ResponsibilitiesDry cleaning, garbage removal and janitorial activitiesWet cleaning to include rinsing, soap application, and scrubbingWork with soaps / other cleaning chemicals.Other duties as requiredWorking ConditionsOnsite role within a food processing/production facilityExposure to varying temperatures, including cold environments (35°F or below)Exposure to produce-related fumes (e.g., onions, peppers)Exposure to cleaning chemicals (e.g., chlorine, soaps)Use of personal protective equipment, including rain gearOccasional use of sanitation tools and equipment (e.g., foamers, brooms, shovels)Overtime may be required based on operational needsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and sit for extended periodsFrequent bending, stooping, reaching, and climbingFrequent use of hands for grasping and basic tasks (e.g., writing)Ability to lift and carry items ranging from 5 to 50 pounds regularlyEducation and ExperienceMinimum High School Education / G.E.D. preferred or applicable certificationUnderstanding of Produce Standards, and or basic produce experience preferredExcellent communication skillsMicrosoft Office: Excel, Word - basic computer skillsWorking knowledge of English and basic mathAbility to interact with managementCompany Benefits/Perks401(k)Health, Dental, Vision Insurance and morePaid Time Off (PTO)The company (Pero) reserves the right to alter, amend, expand or contract these duties and responsibilities as the companies needs evolve.
