RN - ICU

Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 days a week.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. Focus on patient and employee safety is paramount.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized patient care plans based on assessments.
• Provide timely patient information for team conferences.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program on the assigned unit.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel effectively.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies.
• Contribute positively to unit function and team dynamics.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested after training.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of ICU experience highly desired.
