Cost Analyst

Pay Rate: $35-43/hr W2, Depending on Experience Looking for your next challenging opportunity? Then this role is for you! We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the full accounting cycle. Responsibilities Generate comprehensive financial statements, including profit and loss (P&L), balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Oversee the general ledger and manage all month-end closing procedures. Prepare monthly billing journals and perform account and bank statement reconciliations. Prepare and submit accurate tax and regulatory filings. Actively participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Provide expert guidance on cost accounting issues and variances. Utilize advanced MS Excel skills to perform deep-dive financial analysis. Partner and interact effectively with both internal teams and external clients. This 6-month contract position in the Houston area, and the team is working in a hybrid model with 3 times per week in the office. Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 2–7 years of relevant experience (not suited for manager-level candidates). Experience managing month‑end close, general ledger, reconciliations and preparing full financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows). Strong analytical skills with experience in cost accounting, variance analysis, and budgeting. Advanced MS Excel proficiency Basic SQL skills for pulling data Experience preparing tax and regulatory filings. Strong cross‑functional communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external clients. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. / Sponsorships are not available.
