What you'll do

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment on refined fuel and lp delivery trucks, trailers, and company-owned equipment.
• Perform truck and trailer repairs efficiently and accurately according to repair orders and manufacturer standards.
• Cut, thread, fit, and plumb pipe for refined fuel and lp systems.
• Work with air systems, 12-volt and 24-volt electrical systems, welding, and metal fabrication.
• Maintain company equipment, shop equipment, a clean work area, and customer vehicles.
• Complete work orders with accurate descriptions, materials, and serial numbers.
• Coordinate with the parts department and notify the service advisor when added work, delays, or changes affect the promised completion time.
• Operate material-handling equipment and company vehicles.
• Travel to customer sites when needed and occasionally assist field technicians, including rare overnight travel.

What you bring

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience.
• Previous class 48 truck and trailer chassis repair experience is a plus.
• Experience with air equipment and an understanding of 12-volt systems.
• Welding, metal fabrication, fleet, or shop maintenance experience.
• Good judgment and the ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.
• Clear communication, regular attendance, honesty, respect, and a willingness to help where needed.
• High school diploma or ged and a valid driver's license.

• Some customer-site travel and occasional overnight work may be required.
