Driver PositionFissco Supply is seeking a reliable Driver for our Garland/Mesquite, Texas locations. As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of products to various locations in the DFW area. Your responsibilities will be operating commercial vehicles such as a van or box truck, while adhering to all safety protocols as well as general warehouse duties. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Our goal is to support the growth and success of our customers' businesses through exceptional service and product availability.ResponsibilitiesAbility to operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks and vans to transport and deliver goods safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT regulationsAbility to adhere to all company policies regarding transportation and safetyOptimize delivery schedules by planning and navigating efficient routes using GPS technology and digital mapping systemsEnsure vehicle safety and compliance by performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting maintenance needs, and tracking hours of serviceManage end-to-end logistics, including loading, unloading, and verifying inbound merchandise in accordance to facility guidelinesMaintains cleanliness inside of the truckOrganizes product for easy storage and retrievalExecutes warehouse organization strategies, utilizing proper material handling equipment to move, efficiently stack, and store products in designated zones with proper equipmentMaintains total compliance with workplace safety standards, including OSHA and SDS (formally MSDS) guidelines, while keeping a clean, orderly, and secure facility at all times.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license with a clean driving historyFully prepared to successfully complete a background and drug screenHave reliable transportation to and from the branchProven experience in truck driving and transportation management, including the safe operation of light commercial motor vehicles such as box trucks and vansComprehensive knowledge of transit regulations and facility safety protocolsHighly familiar with warehousing operations and logistics workflows; skilled at route optimization using advanced GPS technology and physical map systems.Physically agile and capable of lifting, moving, and stacking up to 70 pounds on a consistent basis throughout a shiftSelf-motivated and customer-service orientated professional with sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the capability to work efficiently under minimal supervisionWhy Work for Fissco Supply?Competitive compensationCompany paid insurance (medical/dental/vision/life)401(k) with 50% company matchFissco Supply is an equal opportunity employer
