Plant Reliability & Maintenance Mechanic

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local employer in Corsicana, TX to add a skilled maintenance professional who keeps production moving and facilities safe.

A day in the role

You start your shift by reviewing the preventive maintenance schedule for production machinery and heavy equipment. With tools in hand, you inspect critical assets, address emerging issues, and document findings. Mid-morning brings a troubleshooting call—an electrical fault paired with a hydraulic pressure drop. You interpret schematics, isolate the cause, and return the line to service. After lunch, you assist with a planned equipment modification, referencing technical manuals and blueprints to ensure a precise install. Before clocking out, you record parts used, finalize work orders, complete facility inspections, and tidy the workspace to meet company safety standards and OSHA requirements.

What you will do

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, heavy equipment, tools, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel systems to reduce downtime.
• Diagnose equipment and facility issues and implement timely, effective solutions.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints .
• Assist with equipment and facility installations, repairs, and modifications .
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work performed and parts used.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Ensure all work aligns with company safety standards and OSHA regulations .
• Keep the shop and job sites clean, safe, and organized.
• Tackle other maintenance-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a maintenance mechanic/technician , in production maintenance , and/or as a heavy equipment mechanic .
• Deep knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Proven troubleshooting ability across diverse equipment and building systems.
• Detail-oriented problem solver with strong follow-through.
• Dependable, self-driven, and effective working both independently and on a team.
